11 月 11 日消息，微软宣布延长 Windows Server 2012 的 Extended Security Updates（ESU）到 2026 年 10 月，以便于管理员有更充裕的时间升级或者迁移到 Azure。

Windows Server 2012 的主流支持周期已经于 2018 年 10 月结束，今年 1 月报道，微软向企业用户发出提醒，Windows Server 2012 和 Windows Server 2012 R2 所有版本的扩展支持 10 月 10 日结束。

微软表示：

如果你需要更多的时间升级和现代化 Windows Server 2012，Windows Server R2 或 Windows Embedded Server 2012 R2，那么可以额外获得 3 年的扩展安全更新（ESU）。

如果你已经迁移到 Azure 来保护你的 Windows Server 2012 和 R2 工作负载，你可能正在享受免费的扩展安全更新。

再延长3年，微软Windows Server 2012 ESU支持至2026年10月，完善您的服务器系统

如果你的组织无法迁移，你不需要密钥，可以直接从 Azure 网站购买并无缝部署由 Azure Arc 在本地和托管环境中启用的 Windows Server 2012 扩展安全更新。
